Hi Rory and Lucy, What a great website you have. And you have a good van as well. I have a Ford Transit 4×4, suitably converted to a camper and have already shipped up to Iceland also Norway last winter. — fantastic. Doing some modifications now though.
Have you actually left for Africa yet. I’m only up in Worcestershire, it would be great to meet you both.
We at the Silk Route Motorcaravan Network have our annual do at Malvern in August if you are around then. ——- Bill

    Hi!
Just checking if this will reach you. Just got a Sprinter 311CDI 4×4 -02, and found your homepage while looking for inspiration and experienced Sprinter owners… Would be great if you would like to share some knowledge from owning and traveling with yours.

    Thank you
    Simon

Hello – we found your website link on the overland portal and enjoyed reading the diary. I’m from South Africa & Martine from Germany and next year we are heading off rid off radar finally breaking away from our businesses. In March we take delivery of a Sprinter 4×4 camper van from CS Reisemobile to drift around Scandinavia before shipping to Canada and beginning a 2+ year Pan Am journey Alaska – Patagonia (we know 2 Brit couples who have done this journey in VW T5 Campers but that camper is too small for us). Finding the right overland rig has been a long process and we almost committed to a Sprinter 4×4 from Sportsmobile in California but the USA build quality is far below German engineering standards. Our plans were either Pan Am -v- Across Central Asia but as we’ve done some overlanding in Namibia then last year Panama/Uruguay it’s the Americas first. Is your Ighaut Sprinter holding up and are you still in Kenya? Ping us an email when time allows (I almost typed wi-fi) as be good to hear how your Sprinter coped with the African journey plus the poor quality diesel challenge. Best regards from Brexitland, Digby & Martine
