Just loving the conversion and your adventures. Had a high top sprinter when we lived in the UK and would like to replace it with the 4×4 version (like yours) so that Louise and I can travel with our two boys (Karl 11& Erik 9) before they get too big. Being in South Africa we are chomping at the bit to get out and about again, so much to see and so much to do. Please let me know what internal layout you have as I may “borrow” some ideas from you.
Regards Hugo & Louise

Thank you for chearing all stories and photos. Very nice. I am impressed of what you have got in the van.
I have really studied the conversion made by iglhaut. It looks impressive. I have studied the german CS Rondo.
It seems to be easy to go on bad roads.
Hello, I stumbled on your link while searching for a Mercedes Benz Sprinter camper van…..as we are starting to think about selling our home and living in the camper van traveling around the USA. We used to live aboard our 37ft. sailboat for 7 years and loved the life of living aboard exploring places along the atlantic coast and Bermuda. We also had a motorcycle with sidecar and traveled around Alaska and parts of the USA in the past 4 years. So, we are ready and kicking to get a move on.
We are thinking about getting a used van and having a hard time searching for one. We hope to be able to rent one in Phoenix sometime in January 2014 for 2 weeks to get a “taste” of driving/living aboard the Sprinter. Any advice, information you can share would be wonderful.
Gidday, just been reading your. site.Couple of questions. What happened to the old engine.Major problems perhaps since you got a newie. Also have you had any probs with the front suspension this seems to be a weak point with the gigglehaut arrangement?.Have you been robbed yet in Nairobi…apparently its almost as bad as Londonstan.Regards Rick.
Love you re storys and youre van. I live in Holland and i am building an Iglhaut as campervan. Maybe you bcan me some advise. I have an hydraulic winch as wel, did you connect it to the powersteeringpump? And does that work?
Another question is the size of the tires. Iglhaut put 225 75 16 under it. Now i am driving with an 85 tire (which is higher) and its strength is less know. What size do you have?
Thnks in advance for you re reply.
Kind regards jurgen
